An Early Present From Eko Roni To Indonesia, Rigondeaux Bores The Crowd, The Red King Loses Again, and The Legacy Continues.

As we are gearing for our independence day, we are here to round up all of the bouts from boxing to mixed martial arts this week for you!

We start the roundup in the world of boxing. Guillermo "El Chacal" Rigondeaux made his return to the boxing ring on 14 August 2021 in a losing effort against John Riel Casimero via a split decision in what would be a fight that is filled with the lowest action in the ring this year. At the start, Rigondeaux, at the age of 40, shuffled around the ring an infuriating amount of time as John Riel Casimero was looking for an opening that might touch the former champion. Instead, the veteran did not do anything and fought whenever he wanted. But Rigondeaux certainly didn't win over the fans at the Dignity Health Sports Park. And more importantly, he did not impress the judges at ringside.

Nico Ali Walsh, the grandson of Muhammad Ali, won his professional debut by TKO stoppage in 1 round on Saturday night in Oklahoma. Ali Walsh punched his opponent Jordan Weeks with a right hand to knock him down inside 90 seconds of the opening bell. Nico will continue to build the most pretiguous boxing legacy going forward with Top Rank promoter Bob Arum staging the fights & Sugar Hill Steward, Owner of Kronk Gym, Trainer of Tyson Fury & the son of the great Emmanuel Steward.

We move over to the world of mixed martial arts, this week there was no UFC Fight Night or UFC PPV, instead we got the PFL, Bellator, and ONE Championship bouts that was nonetheles filled with entertainment & competitiveness.

Ray Cooper III, the PFL welterweight champion in 2019, dominates former Bellator champion and UFC title challenger Rory "The Red King" Mcdonald in the playoff semifinals Friday night in Hollywood, Florida. Cooper dominated the former champion by countering his clinches and using his takedowns to in 3 rounds to get the unanimous decision. Bellator midlleweight champion Gegard Mousasi continues his dominating run as the current champ as he fought John Salter to a TKO finish, Mousasi looks well prepared facing off against the former NAIA national wrestling champion who went broke against the champion but ultimately the champion showed no respect to him & ended the 3-fight winning streak of salter. And finally, ONE Championship Indonesian superstar Eko Roni Saputra gave Indonesia a early independence day present with a 10-second KO win against Liu Peng Shai to continue his winning streak in the ONE Championship Battlegorund II. The future looks bright for the Indonesian wrestler & he might be the next Indonesian superstar to be in the same spotlight as Priscilla Hertati, Adrian Matheis, & Stefer Rahardian.

That is all the highlights for this week fight round up, what are your thoughts about this week fights? comment below and tell us!
